Under his leadership, the Central and Eastern European organisation of the global conservation leader, WWF-CEE seeks to preserve the “Green Heart of Europe” and promotes sustainable local development. Previously, Andreas worked at WWF as deputy director for the WWF Danube-Carpathian Programme. Having worked for 10 years in the Czech Republic, he knows the region well. He is currently based in Vienna. Andreas currently serves on the boards of WWF-Hungary, WWF-Slovakia, WWF-Romania, WWF-Bulgaria, WWF-Ukraine as well as of the Czech Environmental Partnership Foundation. He also served for a number of years on the board of Greenpeace Czech Republic, Nadaci Ekopolis (Slovak Environmental Partnership) and WWF-Adria.
